Deep Throat Revealed

Yesterday Washington post confirmed the Vanity Fair revelation that W. Mark Felt was the Watergate source known as "Deep Throat". Deep Throat is the pseudonym that was given to a secret source who leaked information about the involvement of U.S. President Richard Nixon's administration in the events that came to be known as the Watergate scandal. Deep Throat was an important source for Washington Post reporters Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein, who together wrote a series of articles on the scandal that played a decisive role in exposing the misdeeds of the Nixon administration more.

You would remember Deep throat if you would have seen the movie "All the president's Men" which was based on the book by Bob woodward(Robert redford) and Carl Bernstein( dustin hoffman). He is the FBI source that meets Bob woodward(Robert redford) in the garage and gives him various leads.

Deep throat has been a big mystery to many peoples. There is even a book trying to figure out this mysterious character. This mystery source turned out to be the second ranking FBI official at that time. The 91 year old W. Mark Felt is enjoying the lime light now :).

Comments:
In the recent issue of The Economist, there was an article on Mr.Felt.

It is a pity that the family circumstances (for monetary purposes) had forced him to come out before his life term. I remember reading that the initial agreement between those involved, was to release the names after their lifeterm.

Is it so.Didn't know that.Maybe that's why the Vanity magagine released the name and washington post acknowledged it.rather than washington post releasing it.
