Vishnupuram - JeyaMohan

I wanted to write about Vishnupuram and so many other good tamil books that i read. But never got time.Writing on Nan kadavul, i thought i should do a post on Vishnupuram immediately.Immediately became more than a month and still couldn't do it.So i decided to at least write a couple of lines and do a post ,rather than procrastinate for a detailed big post.
Coming to Vishnupuram. This is simply an awesome book.If i have to describe it in 2 words, i would say "Imagination Unbound".I like magic realism and iam a succor for latin literature. But reading a book like this in tamil was an experience in itself.Vishnupuram just stunned me.I kept dreaming about it continuously for sometime , i didn't do that even for gabriel garcia's "Macondo".This is a wondeful piece of work.
The book is divided into 3 parts corresponding to the 3 sections of vishnu and so many other 3 things of hindu mythology. The first part is the best. The second part is a spiritual one which goes into detailed spiritual discussions on hinduism and buddism, most of the stuff in this part went over my head. The 3rd and final is the end/destruction, again jeyamohan's imaginations runs wild here.
This is a huge booking running close to 850 pages.Read it, at least the first section, and transport yourself to another world :).
